New Loyalty Program AT&T Plus Launches -- But Only in 3 Places
Mar 27th 2012, 12:54

Thank you for your interest in AT&T PlusLive in Houston, Texas, Minneapolis, Minnesota or anywhere in Colorado? Well, congratulations -- you're among the first to experience a new loyalty program called AT&T Plus which promises cash and prizes to the company's most loyal customers. (Okay, there are no prizes and the cash is actually just discounts…)

The Verge is reporting that AT&T has started pimping a new customer loyalty program known as AT&T Plus, which nabs those who sign up special offers and a bit more red carpet service when dealing with the carrier. The only downside is you'll have to live in the state of Colorado or in two other cities (Houston and Minneapolis) to participate.

"Perks of the scheme appear to be somewhat limited at present, with AT&T offering a preferential number (1-855-ATTPLUS) for customer service enquiries, waived upgrade fees, waived activation fees (second line only), and 25 percent off non-Apple accessories," the report explains.

We tried hitting the signup link (which requires signing in to your existing AT&T Wireless account) only to be told "AT&T Plus is a trial program that is currently available only in Houston, Minneapolis, and Colorado. If the program is extended, and you are eligible, we will notify you. In the meantime, thank you for your inquiry." But at least one lucky member received a $10 Starbucks gift card for signing up -- although there's no indication that everyone will be getting one of those.

At any rate, AT&T Plus is a free loyalty program, so keep your eyes peeled for when it rolls out to the rest of the nation in the months ahead.
